Why do you think it's a custom order? What other options does it have and do you have pictures?
the 330 was available with the 2v 383 and 4v 383 and the max wedge along with the 318 A. So it wasn't a special order like the max wedge but just an available option.
Sounds like a fun car.

I was told that it was a special order from the guy that has it I have checked on line and have not been able to find any info on it. All I know is that it is a dual carbureted 383 Golden commando. Will get pics as soon as I can. Just trying to get a little info on the 330s from someone who knows lol kind of new to the classic mopar stuff

I have a friend with a 62 Plymouth with a 383 with the two 4s. E/stock automatic runs 10.60s but don't tell anyone. It might be quicker now 10.60 was from two years ago.
my mopar engine book shows a 343 hp 383 in 1962 with two 4 barrel carbs but not in 63. The carbs and manifold could be dealer installed.?
In 62 there were two Intakes, one inline and a cross ram.

Ok here is what I have, in 63 it was over the counter parts only there were no complete motors or special orders in 63.....a 4 barrel 383 was converted with cam intake and carbs but no complete motors. The Max wedge had a lot to do with the demise of the 343 hp 383 in 62. So your buddy still might have a cool car built with factory parts back in the day. One thing my book shows is a mechanical cam for the 62 motor.
Good luck and pictures would be nice.
