MOPAR OR NO CAR

MOPAR OR NO CAR
Hello everyone, I am new to the forum but a long time MOPAR lover. Currently I own a 4 door 64 Dodge, believe it or not, in the title it appears as a Dodge, Dodge, looks just like the Polara o 330, but it is a make: Dodge, model: Dodge, go figure.
The car has a slant 6, with a manual 3 speed on the steering wheel. Engine was redone completely. Brakes were upgraded in the front from drum to disc, which made change the rims to 15" because of rim clearance. I found a 383 3ngine with a 727 auto tranny at a near buy junk yard that I purchased for 200 bucks. (no heads) I have rebuilt engines in the past but I have never gone from smaller to bigger. Any advise will be greatly appreciated. Speccially on cross member compatibility.
Go Mopar !!!

Sounds like a fun project.
In order to switch from 6 cyl to 8 you will have to change a few things. The K member will need to be changed to a V8 one. You will have to get the proper engine mount brackets for a big block. You will then need a big block transmission and radiator. That is just about it. The wireing actually is very close from 6 to bigblock. The most you would have to do is extend a wire here or shorten a wire here..nothing hard. Oh and you will need to build an exhaust system.
That is how to do it with factory motor mounts..Other options include building your own moto mounts and keeping your 6 cyl K member. Or using conversion mounts that you can buy that fit a big block to your 6 cyl K member. There are lots of options.
