Need a car !

Hi, Im a chevy guy looking for a cuda or challenger. Not looking to flip a car or get one at 1/2 price. At the same time im not looking to pay more than market value. I like 70 71 challengers and cudas. Motor cu in not really important, coupe or convertible ok. I want a done car, or one that doesnt need much[needing paint ok] because I dont have the knowledge or time to hunt down parts . I am flexible on price as far as what im looking to spend. Like survivor type cars w small motors over restored cares w big motors. Very flexible. looking to buy something in the next few months, and help appreciated or if anyone can lend a dumb chevy guy some advice! thanks I have alot of chevy parts and cars to trade as well.

Welcome! We have a classifieds forum here, I would check that out. Then again, there is always craigslist. You could always bring what you find here for opinion and guidance on condition and price, or what to look out for. Anyway, have a good time shopping! There are plenty of folks here who will be happy to help you out.

PS, I am a former Corvette guy who has gone to the dark side

Can someone give me ballpark figures on what I will pay for a 71 Cuda, coupe and convertible [of course no 440 3/2 and hemi cars.] Also what are the motor options[cu in size and HP] on them and associated prices for real cars w those motors. One last thing, how does nom motor affect price. Thanks again. I have pretty much decided thats what I want.

List of all the sizes, options in the car, just check the boxes and get the price. They vary from car to seller and vice-versa but you'd most likely get one in those prices. +/- 5-10,000

One question though, Why not try getting into restoration? It's a fun experience, good hobby. The car in my album is my first ever car, she was in rough shape when I bought her, now she's starting to show her true colors. Buying this car and bringing it home, I knew NOTHING about how to go about fixing it, first project car, first time really working on a Mopar.

Yeah you'll run into a lot of problems down the line when you actually get in there and go to fix things but it'll work out in the end.

I used to look into buying Nuvva's and Chebelles, but then I saw the true power a Mopar could bring to the table, found this one and fell for it without a second glance.

Actually I restore chevys and have ability to do most the work myself. I am also a rare chevy parts vendor That being said I know from my experiences what a chevrolet restamp part looks like and the way people make 2.00 parts appear to be 2000.00 parts etc. I do not however know the value or nuances of the mopar parts thats why i want a car thats pretty much done. Id need 10 years to educate myself on mopars the way i know chevys...Thanks for link and info ill check it out

Ok, Narrowed it down to a 71 barracuda convertible, 318 340 or 383 motor, want a solid car. Trans, color and options irrelevant with the exception I dont want beige or green on green. Have aot of chevy cars and parts to trade if someone wants to swap over to hi perf ... Thanks I do have an observation to make, Ive followed a bunch of Cudas and challengers the past two weeks on ebay. When ive searched the high bidders on many cars, while I cant see who they are due to ebays privacy policy ,they always seemed to have 5 -15 bid retractions EACH,which is incredibly high and shows guys are bidding up cars and reetracting the bid when they are high bidder . I know all types of cars get shill bid and the like, but you mopar guys especially seem to have a real problem.
