What's the proper temp for engine and coolant on hemi?

I have a 2011 jeep grand cherokee 5.7L my engine oil temperature was up to 230 is that normal on my coolant it goes up as well to 226 and then the fan kicks in just wanted to know if that's normal on both.

Sounds about rite for the water temp... 210* around these parts... So I would say that is good on your part....
Now the engine oil being 230*… That I'm not sure of... That seams high to me... Now that would be in the ball park for a transmission under a load. That would be a good number.

Just my 2 cents.... Keep us posted.... Good question....
Welcome to the site....

One of my good sources just got back to me and said..... Oil Temp should run a few degrees hotter than the cooling system....

Go figure, I totally would have got that wrong on my ASE test....lol

I think they run too hot. I'm going to put a 180 degree thermostat in my Challenger and replace the computer with a diablo sport and tune the fans accordingly.

Be careful... Keep a close eye on the Cat's, if you cause a failure the cost add up fast... Make sure it's burning everything fuel wise.... Just my 2 cents..

I don't believe so on these later model cars and trucks. It's built into the ECU and PCM and BCM's to look for these corrected temps... I'm under the belief that in order to do something like that correctly you will have to remove a lot of other variable's…. Like Cat system's, remap the fuel system, remap the temp sensors and all the others sensors to boot. Anything thing that will set the MIL light, will need to be readapted with another form of format and or hardware / software...
Then your going to run into pass a smog check if you are needing one of them... Feww
