New guy with an old car tps q's
Well I'm buying a 92 duster off of my neighbor for a great price. Just has a throttle position sensor issue. He's changed it a few times but still throws check engine. It's the 3.0 automatic. Wish it was a stick but oh well. Any thoughts?

First thing to remember is just because it is a TPS code does not mean it is the TPS itself. It means that SOMETHING in that circuit is causing the computer to see an error. The car is almost 30 years old so make sure you check all connections and the wiring. If the connectors have been apart several times make sure the pins in the connectors fit together tightly. Also is it really the correct TPS for the application.

Oh well the car was only twenty five years old when the question was asked, I don’t know why but this question slipped through the cracks…
