Headers for 1973 D100 HELP!
I have a 440 in a 73 D100 and I am getting ready to swap in a 400 block now displacing 500 cu. in. from Muscle Motors. Problem, SOMEONE HELP!!!!!!!!
I can't find headers other than HookerHeaders but they are small diameter primaries with only 2.5" collectors. Anyone found off the shelf headers to fit this application????
Dyno sheet for the motor shows 553 hp @ 5100 rpms and 614 ft lb tq @ 4300 rpms. Little headers aren't going to cut it and I don't want to use Hedman's block huggers.
I have been in Iraq for 6 years and I get to come home for only a few days every 4 months and I don't want to spend the whole time home this time trying to beat a pair of headers in that don't fit right. Anyone? Beuller? Beuller? Beuller?

Try these although a bit pricey http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HOK-5810HKR/
Just noticed the 2.5" collector, I am willing to bet that that is a typo...Tech Help 1-330-630-0240 for answers....
Reason thinking a typo is 1 3/4" primaries X 4 dumping into 2 1/2" collector? dunno though a call is all it would take.
