flowmaster 40's seem to be quite popular. go on youtube and look up some videos. do you have duals or a y pipe and single. what size pipe are you going with. I ran headers back through 2.5 inch pipes into thrush turbos on my fifth avenue and i got pulled over a couple times for it being a tad bit too loud. But i also had the pipes exit in front of the rear wheels.

Sound videos do not do any good, but that is my option. If you want something that will sound good but not be loud inside, I'd go with a Flowmaster Delta 50 series with a 3" exhaust. The Flowmaster 40s are pretty loud inside if you do not have a resonator.

by resonator you mean like a glasspack right? i dont want to put cats on my car but maybe they would help keep the po pos happy and me at the same time. just needs to be a little bit quieter.

i am a big fan of bassani mufflers, same volume as a flowmaster 40 but it sounds really mean. have one on my truck and i love it

I run flowmasters on everything i own. Sound good and seem to last longer than comparable mufflers.

I think flow masters sound great, but I'm on a tight budget. Just looking at the newest summit catolog flow masters are around $100.00 a piece, my cousin bought the new thrush welded mufflers and put them on his '57 ford and I think they sound great also...good enough I bought a set for '66 belvedere (just don't have them installed yet) and they are only $30.00 a piece.

I use Magnaflow and they sound awesome, will post a video when I finish the project. I got mine brand new on eBay got a really good deal.

go for the classics. Cherrybomb glass packs. Thats what i got on my 65' coronet. And their cheap too.
