So a little update:

The chassis, motor, tranny, t-cases, leaf springs, air shocks, heims, link and cage material, body panels, radiators, link hardware, etc. are all going away. I'm keeping my tires, wheels and axles. I just do not have the time to get this project done and we could really use the extra money for the wedding.

I also put the Valaint away for the winter. Had a guy show up on Sunday and had enough. Too many people have bailed on me with this and so it will sit til the spring time. My dad and I had no time for it this year due to us both gutting our houses. Since we will both be done for around Thanksgiving, it will allow us to have time next year to tinker with it.

Plus, Heather and I love riding our ATVs (that we are still paying for) and we hardly got a chance to ride them this year.

I was able to get the front axle put together lastnight and started cleaning up the H1 wheels. Got a coat of primer on them and a coat of black paint on the axles. I'll be measuring for axle shafts for the rear axle today after work and maybe getting them ordered tonight.

Well as some of you have seen, I've posted up my axles for sale. I've got tires, wheels and a bunch of suspension parts to go with them. I picked up a D70-U rear axle for free the other night. I ended up cutting it up for the ends mostly. I'll be posting up some pics in an axle thread compairing it to some D44 and D60 parts just so people can get an idea about the actual size of this axle.

Well I've got the D70-U cut up and keeping what I want and going to scrap the rest (~500 pounds). I've also got the high pinion D60 front cut up. I took the inner Cs off and are selling them and the knuckles to a guy. I'm going to keep the center section for a rear axle build where I will probably use the D70-U spindles. Since they are already set up to run 35 spline axle shafts, I don't have to worry about boring them out.

I also had a guy drop off a GM 8.875 truck axle (12B) with a Detroit locker, install kit, and a wrong R+P gear set. Pulled the bearings off the Detroit to find out that one of them had spun on it. It's not too bad but some Loctite sleeve retainer will be needed.

This axle is going to be used in a 1968 GMC 2wd truck with a 468ci SB V8 (bored and stroked) with twin turbos. It was dynoed at just over 1100HP.
