big change of plans
no stroker kit now just 383 cid .
& using my Indy heads
cam is a comp cams solid xs290s 252/260@.050 & 540/558 lift + 1.6 rockers .
been ordering a fair bit of stuff from over there lately .

 

why no stroker?

 

really street driving is more like traffic jam driving these days & besides the lil old 383 should crack regardless anyway . i'm thinking 450-500 hp that's good power & will sound good & i wouldn't rule out 11's . revving to 6700rpm i think it will be great fun . after all i have many more projects 3/4 finished , got to finish the ute & get the others going .

 

well i dropped my block off today . its getting sonic tested & bores measured up . just for now so i know where i'm at . man its hard to settle on a cam i'm leaning back towards a mp purple 661 solid 557/557 lift 252/252 @.050 with 1.6 rockers - lash = 566/562 lift . i might also go a 440 rod with diamond 383 piston for the better rod ratio .
