They sure do come in handy.. I use to think it was sooooooo easy when I first started looking into doing fabrication work.. Then I went to work at a fab shop, Oh Man was I wrong. I got a whole new respect after I started.. If your not aggressive and motivated with a build.. It will take forever to complete... Hahahahahahahahaahaha
Back after a short hiatus and picked up another project (as if I need another one!). 1978 D200, 400ci, auto, a/c, bed toolbox, dual tanks and cruise control. Body has a lot of war injuries from years of shenanigans but the interior seems decent. Can't wait to get her hauled home!
Good Afternoon Yall…. Hope you are all having a great day.... Day off for me. Had to go to give the Doc. an update on myself. all turned out good. He's only mad at me about one thing.... Yep I'm still a full bodied person...lol
Wow Carter.... That's a nice truck !!!!! Looks like its not in to bad of shape... Looks like it is all there?
The only thing missing is the tailgate. It does have a pretty decent dent in the bed but aside from that it's complete/running/driving. Excited to have a big block Club Cab that's for sure.

The program we have in Ontario started out to get crap polluting cars off the road and the program made money. Well it worked but mostly because of attrition and all cars becoming fuel injected and computer controlled, now there's no exhaust gas output test they just plug into the computer and if it reads ok you pass. So virtually every car passes now and guess what, the program now looses money.
There's talk of cancelling the program which I'm all for, I don't need anymore Government programs costing me money. We are now past 50% taxes as compared to our usable income the money I actually keep in my pocket.
Just got back with Shawn from voting at our Provincial (comparable to State) Elections, I hope the socialist party does not win.

Wow.... 50%... That's a good hit...
We get taxed 2/3's when we earn it....
9.50% when you buy a something..
And then at the end of the year you have to see if the State and the Fed's took enough out of your gross income... If not... You pay, break even, get some back if you got over taxed.
Will be warm this weekend. Having coffee watching Michigan practice.
Got bosses new furnace and A/C install finished yesterday, feeling stiff and sore today, really want to get to the race chassis but I should rest, oh I turned 60 yesterday.
Well I was woke up this morning with questions about repairing a tractor, that works well when your heads foggy with sleep. My sister and her husband have 30+ acres of horse farm with a flooded creak going thru one end. So from first light today they had been removing trees from fence line and then repairing. Both in there mid 60s and him recovering from rotator cuff surgery it was time to wake me up. Naturally its a hard line, Kubota only part that will take two weeks to get so I cleaned up the area got out a stick of brass lit the torch and had at it. It works for now, hope it goes the two weeks till the new part comes in.
Now I can have my first cup of coffee for the day......

Looks Nice!
what color is it?
the last 55 I did I had 1800 hours in paint and body work, the guy had more money than brains.
The Color is a one off color. Close to what is called "Cherry Black" You mite know and appreciate, the kind that looks light red in the sun light and as you look down the body line starts to look darker, deeper blood red. and then in the shadow of the night turns jet black except for when under a street light.
The car came to me as a 2 tone light / dark green. the car had been repainted but with that color basic stock looking color. The paint had Oxidized and a little surface rush started coming up on the front fenders. At that point I knew I had to get some primer and paint on the car. I only got as far as the front clip when I figured that the job was going to be to big to do at the home shop. So I subleted the job out to a shop, and off it went for 4 months. I Am glad I sent the car to the body shop. Found out after it got sanded down. that this old girl had been rubbed and creased from the front bumper to the rear bumper on both side of the car. Fortinet for me all the sheet metal was able to be fixed.
But Y'all know the drill... Paint and body, weather seals all the way around, inside and out, New interior Black and blood red.
As for the paint. Its not perfect. But it has been on the car for about 10 years now and I'll repaint it another day down the road.
The car had a 265 V-8 with a cast iron power glide, It had no oil pressure. the past 2 owners that tried to rebuild it came up with both of them failing to get the engine rite. I just snatched it out of the car and stuffed what I had sitting around in the car. 350 chevy with a Q-Jet and a Turbo 400 out of a corvette that I had left over.
See, I bought this car for my wife as a wedding present. So that's why it is hers... It even has a license plate frame that say's... "It's Lorri's 55 Not Bob's".. Yep, Shes a chevy gal living in a Mopar world...lol
