Morning, still cold and rainy in Southwestern Ontario.
Last night took the 8.0L V 10 apart (heads off) and found a good rebuildable engine. Found a broken rocker bolt and pushrod in the valley, common on these when over rev'd. Youngest son was bummed when the rocker cover came off but further inspection showed all was good.
It has one of those throttle body spacer, air swirly, make more power B.S. thingies. I guess it was some punk had this engine thinking it was an V 10 HP oh boy engine, not a low rpm torque truck engine and over rev'd it showing off.
Looks like the son wants to take apart the Edelbrock heads and install the new bee hive springs, at least see what seals we need to install the locators.

Well it's a great day so far, sunshine and 52* F.
Wish I could say that I have something automotive to work on but I'm still picking away at the yard. I did have to fix a flat on the tractor, I knocked off a valve stem pulling a few fence posts for my new neighbor.

I say perfect, black back panel and interior, the black stripe pulls it all together.
Maybe if it was a red interior I would go red.
If I put one on my 1970 rather than the round Bee I always thought I'd put the Philadelphia Eagles head in a round circle. (my favorite sports team for 40 yrs)

Morning. It will be fantastic weather for this weekend here. Moved a yard of 3/4" crushed gravel for around the shed in the corner of the yard, yet to see how this body feels today.
My sons took the '72 Demon to the track last night for it's first outing. just a few shake down part throttle runs. Couldn't get into fourth gear 1st run, adjusted shifter stop and got fourth next run. Got it up to 90mph and steered ok. Nothing leaked, nothing broke so now he has a few things he wants to work on and ready for full passes maybe Holiday Monday.
He met an old O.N.D.R. guy who loved the rough looking car and that a new young guy was picking up the racing torch, they became instant friends. He said don't change a thing on the body or paint it because it looks old and tough with all the scratches.
As they were pulling out the old guy yelled at him "NO WAX" the boys got his meaning and now the car finally has a name.... the -NO WAX- 1972 Dodge Demon.

Good Morning Y'all,
Good day here in SO-CAL. Looking like about 70* with a few Clouds... Got a couple parts from the wrecking yard for the Scamp to put on today. But I can truly say " The pick'ins are getting mighty slim" for all this older stuff.
I was looking for a Holley or Carter for a 225-6 cylinder, that the old 1 barrel carburetor. could not find one in that place for the past 8 weeks. Man.
The last few the rebuilder i meat that had a few. all the main body screws where pulled and stripped !! So we passed on those. Anyway, Off to do yard work and do some touch up work around the house. Working on a Brand-X car that got hit on the right side, mostly just R&R parts luckily.
Ray: Sounds way cool.... I use to Jam with my kid also.. Good Times..
Dan: That Crusher Base is good stuff... Easy to drive on also, lets the water get away too..
Good to here the Demon came home without issue. I like the NO-WAX..lol
But something on the back of the car needs to say " You Just Been WAXED"
Have a great day....
