But too night did not go so well...... Got a Flooding "Half Dozen".... Son-Of-A-Dich... Had to tow home it was so bad...

 

Its a beautiful day in Iowa today so I'm going to try and till a garden for a good friend of mine, she says she's going to plant 32 tomato plants this year....wow!

Got to go out and get the carb off the Scamp... As you know it left me walking the other night... Flood with fuel so bad it would not make it back to the house. Sooooo I'm guessing it sunk the float that is in the Tomco rebuilt carb. Will see whats happening and let Y'all know.....

Holy smokes is it raining here in Lander,Wy....should rain all day and night and getting 18-24" of snow up in the mountains, would be working on the car but the beer got the best of me last night so laying around the house watching "Dirty Mary Crazy Larry" how many of you guys remember that movie?

 

Great Movie.... I watched "The Blues Brothers" Tonight.....
Dam Internet has been down all darn day.... Oh well... Got the Scamp up and running.... Float was no good... Half the hole where stripped for the top air horn of the carb.... Talk about a fun carb fixing.... Need better timecerts for that job next fix... Sheesh... Oh Well... Back on the road again...

Morning, beautiful day forecast for Southwestern Ontario.

Did lots of work yesterday for Mom and my sons, feeling it today. She tells me she blew the head gasket on her Husqv. rider mower, a B+S Intek 21 hp 540cc single cylinder, stay away, she has an old two cylinder that is still going.

So Mother's Day at son's house for BBQ and hopefully not doing an F'in' thing today.

 

Still raining,,, now we have floods here in Lander, might go and help sand bag, Conty 10 web sight gives a lot of information on our county...let's also treat Mom good today.

All was good here in Wyoming, sun come out yesterday and cut the yard and what have you...Was going to Volunteer sand Bagging but they are all done.we live high enough in to where none of the 3 rivers in town got to my house for flooding....looks like rain again today, wish I had the car parts to work on it,,,,they arrive on Thursday.Manual steering box, bumble bee stripe, and looking at new wheels (Centerline convo) wheels....

 

Cool and wet here, but still looking at a great day.

Gotta get back on my legs Bob, sitting on a tractor is one thing but standing is another. I have a hundred hours of work to do to the Plymouth before I drop a bullet in it, after all it's been apart for 22 years!

 

Woke up at 5am to 38* and warming up quick, beautiful day so far.....them are the Owl creek mountains in the far north with snow, the big mountains are right behind our house,I will get some pictures of them...

Work on the POS carb on the Scamp today.... For the life of me I just dont know why this carb want to fight with me.... So today we open a "Can Of Whoop Azz" on this thing and dig for the root of the problem....

Got the Manuel steering box and put it in just hand tight, the pit man arm seams to fit in perfect, so now the job I am working on is the steering wheel column is 4 3/4" to short...so I took it all out and having a welder extend it with some Cold Roll 3/4"rod..Other than that just having fun working on the car.

 

I much rather work on Hot Rods....

 

I just worked on our plumbing yesterday for 2 hr.

Will still be working on the bathroom project. But hope to get the finished up today and then get back on the Carb Issue with the old Scamp thats been fighting with me.

Has been a very nice week here, now this weekend is cold and rainy. Picked up 318 block from machinist after first cleaning and magnaflux and noticed it was cast same birthday in 1969 as my oldest son. Messaged him the news and immediately he says "it's an omen and the car must be mine". When I get it done it's good to know it will stay in the family.

Working on the steering wheel column,,had that put in and the steering box, now the wire separators, and a 12 pa k of beer with the help of friends that come over.

 

Looking good..... Hope it drives nicer....
