And as far as my car goes.....
They can auction it off when I am DEAD.
After they Pry the steering wheel from my old crusty fingers,
just make sure they take care of my DOGS.

Thanks IOWAN
Your absolutely right. I found out that this morning when I got the message.
And the guy was right, if I were outside looking in, it screams of a SCAMMER.
But, I am not.
I am trying to blend getting some investment capital, sponsors, doing advertising and whatever business people do to make money.
I am not a business man. I am not a con man.
I am what I am, and it is what it is.
Its very worrisome. There will be people that will be my employees and I have got to be straight up with everyone and everything.
It will be a while until things start rolling, but, I will be an Equal Opportunity Employer.I am going to try to hire 10 percent of my company with people with disabilites, mostly combat Vets. If you got a mind and the drive, I got the job for you.
Of course, my first year plan is only for 13 people, unless I go viral.
Dont get me wrong. I applaud you for speaking your mind.
Look back in this thread when I started this project when I asked people what they thought.
Run like a Bunny, they said.
Its a rust bucket, they said.
It will cost your 40,000 dollars they said.
And you know what I did after listening to all them, the people at my work, the people mowing there lawn as I passed by.
They said I was CRAZY
So , I did the only logical thing I could,
I bought the car.

First part of restoration begins with a plan.
Enuff of the other stuff.
Lets get down to getting MaltFalcon on the road.
The first target of opportunity will be the brakes.
Although I have not checked, I am pretty sure when the car rolled out of Detroit over 44 years ago, she had drum brakes. With this said, my first step will be to remove the front drums, should be 10-11 inch type, and clean them up. I will repair them to mint condition and use OEM parts if needed.
Once they pass my quality control Technician(The Norweigen a.k.a.),
they will be archived for storage into the MaltFalcon warehouse for future owner or museum. Now, the first reason I am moving away from a car with all original parts and matching numbers is safety. Due to the fact that technology and reliabilty has changed since 1969, I have got to make my ride safe if I am going to hit the Route 66.
There are a couple of options here, the Bendix 4 piston set-up or the
Kelsey Hayes type of Disc brakes. But after careful research, I have chosen the 1976 version of Disc brakes and that is the 11.75 inch Unicast Police type with heavy duty rotors with cast in reinforcing ribs.
After inspection, I will probaly replace the brake lines themselves and the master cyclinder with OEM parts also.
Again, not to take away the original parts, but, safety is the top concern always.

What to do about the engine.
Ok guys, here is where I need you.
If you do not agree with me , please dont hesitate to chirp in.
I guess the first thing is to remove all removal parts, air filter and pan,
all the spark plug wires, remove the a/c system and clear the way to bring it down to just the block so I can begin work.
I guess I will remove the valve covers to take a look, and then remove the carberator for rebuild and inspection process.
Considering numerous generations of squirrels have used this engine to hide acorns, I will have to remove the manifold also, dont you agree?

A/C system and cooling system.
As I remove the AC it will be disassembled and rebuilt, refurbished and put aside for later.
All the belts will be removed, identified and put into to ARCHIVE storage.
I presume the freon system will have to be upgraded, but, I will cross that bridge when I get to it.
Then, I intend to take the radiator off , get it pressure checked and remove the water pump for inspection.
What do you think guys?

WELL, I BET EVERYONE WILL BE HAPPY NOW
Hey peeps,
Anyone see my new add floating around yet?
Well, I hope so.
And get ready for THREE MORE.
There will be one for
Classic Cars(This is where I will start marketing on cars/parts/service)
The Trading Post(This will be my online store w/PAYPAL)
Run for CHARITY(This is the Charity run in Dec2017)
Although you can view them now, they will not become active till 12 April
I got about 19 days left to get all this done,
then finally I can get down to business and start working on the car.
I got the next two days off.
Gotta get the canopy up over the car, then I begin work.
I was talking to another place and they recommeded using a MEDIA BLASTING technique to attack my rust and then painting it with a zinc oxide.
Anyone ever here about that?

IOWAN you make a very good point.
Once I get the canopy up, and the A/C blowing cool,
I will have to develope a strategy and system to do exactly what you say.
Take tons of photographs, secure all parts and catagorize and store,
keeping extremely good records and detailed step by step assembly and de-assembly information. I got some good computer programs so I can mange all that. I think I will use a way to store my parts, not in bags,
but containers that will preserve and protect them.
If I lose control of this, I will have one big mess that Humpty Dumpty
couldnt put back together again.

Hey.....wheres my number one fan
Hey,
I guess people got tired of reading my baloney.
Thats ok, I am still here. I saw my advertizement banner. Great job peeps at Moparforums staff.
Geez, my computer went down, I lost my phone line, my Legal Zoom attornies want more
I have learned a lot in the few days. This site is great. I went to some other sites and got laughed out of the room like I was just some sort of nut, scammer. spammer.
Since then, as you can see in my above edited posts, I have made a pledge to hire disabled (challenged) people at the rate of 10 percent of my staff. I also am organizing a Charity run for 2017.
I hope this convinces everyone, especially the ones who think this is a personal venture, that I am an ok guy.
Geez-wizzzzzz.
If anyone has any questions or critcismes, please speak your mind.
Believe me, when we can just talk about restoring my Charger, that will be fine with me.

Ok, back to normal
Great, I am on my new computer now and all is good.
I love my new ad for the Dog Company floating around at the top of the screen. I feel like the first time I got my name in the phonebook.
Ok, so we got 17 days left till " Opening Day" .
What a whirlwind. I remember the first day I started this thread, seems like years ago.
I wont bore you, but, all is progressing well. I checked on the MaltFalcon today, and its holding up.Tires still holding air. The simple joys of life is that your tires stay up.

Brakes..........
Well, I was over at the Norwegians house and he is upgrading his 70 Charger, with the Police style brakes. He was kinda "bent" because when he connected the hose to the caliper, apparently there is an upside and a downside to the fitting, only a 5 degree bend, but, enough to cause a leak. He showed me some aftermarket washers with some "witness " marks on them.He showed me the MOPAR part vs the other part. I got pictures that I will post later. I am still transferring data from my old computer to my new one, so, until then I cant post no pics. Anyway, you could see the night and day difference between the two washers, the MOPAR washer was thick and well made, where the other washer was extremely flat. Don't know the weight difference, but, the MOPAR partwas belt much better. So, that's a cheap lesson, when it comes to parts and reliability. I like my Norwegian friend, he watched silently when I was laughed off some other forums which he was on and a member for years. He would have spoke up and defended me, but, I told him not to. If I am to be tall, I will be tall by my own means, I have no desire to stand on the shoulders of giants, just to verify my integrity.

No answer required....how bout a question
Can you say CARBONITE?
Its a lifesaver, my new computer is being backed up as we speak. It takes days for a full restore, but, I am sure glad I got it .
As I am getting older, and technology progresses, the future Carbonite can take my brain and back it up to a 20 year old Olympic chess player, cant wait to renew...yuck-yuck-yuck

WorldWide Coverage
Man I am so glad I did what I did
I just checked my World Wide audience,
its up to a grand total of 23.
Wooohooooo....I cant wait for number 24,
Just called my old construction buddy,
hopefully,in the next day or two I can get the canopy up and get my hands greasy.
To tell you the truth, all this business crap is a big headache,
you might think I should have funneled this money into the car rather then the business.
But, the fact is, the car will take at least 10,ooo to bring it back to life and get the needed work done. If I deplete my finances and have no plan to go on, could be problems.
This is an all or nothing venture.I have in place-
A business.
A promotional event.
A ClassicCar/Parts avenue to clients.
And a online store to sell everything and anything.
12 April it all goes live.
If none of the top four pans out,
I guess I will take my Bird that I bought(wrapped in Chinese newspaper)
and put my car up for sale and disappear into the sunset.
Whoops, better eat a Snickers, because that's not me.
Actually, I am in pretty good shape, for a little while.
Like John Paul Jones said-
I have not yet begun to fight.

Hmmmm, almost 500 views since last Tuesday.
And the only one that comments is the one, and the very few.
Hmmmm.....
Facebook,Twitter,YouTube, all the avenues of generating interest, even got my flag flying here in the advertising banner.
Hmmmm....
that's ok.
Like the story of the three little pigs,
I am gona huff,
and I am going to puff,
and I am going to blow your doors in the day I light up them tires with my 383.
You can take that to the bank,
I have.

www.maltfalcon.com UPDATED
Well, I feel better now. I just updated my main website to properly explain my business plan. I described all four websites that I am developing, keeping in mind I still have 12 days left. They are all under construction. But, at least now I have a firm statement to my business plan and objectives. Also in listed by the NORWEGIAN some links to bring into discussion some topics as brakes, interior restoration and other Charger restoration topics. By providing this information I submit to apply conversation and response such that when I do actually begin the restoration of the MaltFalcon, I can chose the best path forward by crowd sourcing ideas and how to proceed forward.
Again, I implore anyone to chirp in with their views, good or bad I want to hear from you.
And as we speak for 66 dollars in shipping costs, I have the Bird enroute to me from California.
Seventeen pounds of
The things that Dreams are made of.
