inherited a 1971 Charger R/T

My uncle passed away and I inherited a 1971 Charger R/T 440 6-pack car. Looked around to get an idea what to ask for it, but can't find any cars close to get an idea. 29,000 original mile and went through a complete rotisserie restoration. Car is as clean underneath as it is on top. All original numbers matching from front to back! i remember him telling me it was 1 of 98 built like this. Not sure though! Thanks in advance.

Look in hemmings motor news or have it appraised [there is a charge for that service] however if you think you'll get what it's worth your sadly mistaken in this economy they are only worth what someones willing to pay. I suggest several options get it appraised then consign it,or keep it and have some fun with it,or store it away [controlled climate] till the market comes around [if that ever happens],whatever you do don't give it away those are cool cars and worthy of being preserved. It sounds like a very nice car.

Have it appraised, insure it, and drive it. Your uncle probably left it to you cause he wanted YOU to have it. Honor him by keeping it.

I agree unless your not a car guy then give it to one of us and we'll insure it and drive it in his honor. We are sorry for your loss and a loss to the car hobby.

these are a very rare car especially 4 spd as it will have the dana & track pack if it is a 4 spd , it is valuable but I agree it cost you nothing why sell it . a friend bought a 71 440+6 auto white with black stripes & interior brand new in late 70 when they first came out , he owned the car for 3 years & & about 2 1/2 years ago found his car & bought it again but it cost him a lot more the second time around but at least he has the car he ordered back !!

Let me see if I got this right, your Uncle leaves you a piece of American Muscle that most here will never be able to own, never mind get for free and the first thing you want to do is sell it??

Seems your Uncle thought of you and you are thinking of yourself.

Sell it, your not worthy.
