Neon TSB Story.
My Ford Mechanic son was talking to a Dodge Mechanic about tricks to speed up flat rate repairs, just two young Mechanics shooting the bull.
The guy said when Neons first came out with head gasket problems one of the older guys told him what he did to get them out the door.
1. Drain fluid and remove valve cover.
2. Hook chainfall onto camshaft and Impact head bolts out.
3. Pull head up slightly while stretching timing belt.
4. Slide gasket out, slide new one in and reverse procedure.
