Is the Royal Purple oil that good where it is more expensive than others?

I've never used it, but a very good mechanic I worked with a while back said this: "A customer gave me a case of it, and it's really good stuff, but I'd never go out and pay full price for it".

That might sum it up.

The folks that do the Specialty oils have really done their homework..
Pricey.. Yes...... Test proven... Yes.... Purpose Built Oils...Yes
