Hi all,

this is going to make me sound like a real moron, but I've got a '69 440 that I bout from a guy who really built it for the strip, and I've been over this thing time and time again, but I cant find a spot for a an oil dipstick! where is is supposed to be located? is it possible that he "deleted" is for stip duty?

thanks in advance!

i have no idea on this one. I do remember seeing a BB oil pan once (aftermarket of course) have the dipstick tube mounted to it.

It should be on the left side of the engine approx 3 - 4 " from the front of the engine. If my memory serves me correctly it is in front of the Motor mount.

That is correct, this is the best pic I have online of this:

If you look at the gasket or the pan, there is a little curve in it , and that is where abouts it should go.
