Trans question

Trans question

so i found a trans for 100 buck its a 2.2 i4 trans out of a 84 dakota and i was wondering if it would fit my 2.5 i4 89 dakota

I'm not sure if it will. I believe that the 2.5L 4 cylinder motors are just the big brother to the 2.2L motors. Are we talking stick or auto? Either way, I would think they would be the same.

Now that I think about it, Dodge did not start making the Dakota till 1987.

what does that mean the 1985 dakotas were made by someone else?

i know they were made in 85,
side note my dad has a chevy durango. LOL seriously he does. its just a s10
