What spark plug wires to use??

I FINALLY got my 318 running (or i should say troy from thertgarage did) and anyways I need new spark plug wires. I need some wires that wont rub on my headers. Id like to spend somewhere around $50. I have an fbo control module, coil and distributor. Ive been told not to get any precut wires because of my headers. Does anyone know of a good small block set with at least two 90 degree boots?

I've read your saga here and over on FBBO....Glad to see you're on the right track.
Sometimes the best plug wires are the ones that you cut and crimp yourself. The wire set companies have no way of knowing all of the multiple combinations of exhaust manifolds or headers, so they are often never exactly right.

I've used a number of them, and still like the basic Accel wires. Inexpensive and work. Yes, you will have to cut and crimp yourself. Get the generic set, probably with straight boots and while it will double your cost, think about a set of heat-proof wire covers, the type that's about 6 - 8" long and goes over the boot ends. Several companies make them. They can really be a wire saver.

I agree put heat boots over the wires on #5&7 wires with 90* boots the rest of them should be ok..Accel makes a good wire for the money and $50 doesn't buy much today but they are out there for that kind of money. A street car doesn't need a super set of wires anyway....Bill.. Congrades on getting it running, I bet your happy!!!
