thanks guys, and 72RDRNR i actually ordered those same ones in black and they were to tall, idk why they say stock height cause the factory ones are about 3 inch and those were 3 1/2
but more clearence now, tightened up the torsion bars

test fit, everything is good, just gotta grind some extra metal off the front of the master cylinder for some more clearence

well i chromed the valve covers today, put them in the copper for about 2 hours to try and fill some of the pits. they came out good enough considering you barely see them and they're 40 years old haha

after i read this comment and looked at it, i realized how high it is. then went out into the garage and checked if it would clear and sure enough it doesnt haha. im just gonna make some L shaped brackets to move it forward and down. thanks for saying something better now then when the hoods going on haha

hey, I think those long ram manifolds are the rare ones. Notice the split part doesnt go the whole length of the runner, they only go about half way {that trough on the top}. That type only came through in the last of the long ram years and only for a short time. [they raised the rpm of the peak torque point]

Can anybody back me up on this or am I crazy? [i might have old-timers]

thanks, and ya your right. these intakes are good up to about 5800rpm compared to the full length runners which was only somewhere in the mid 3000rpm range. i didnt know that when i got them either, just got lucky with them, then found out about that on the forabodiesonly website
