folks, i decided to replace the wheels on my 1966 Coronet. All went well until i came to the drivers side rear wheel studs. The replacements are just not working for me, one is too small, i think those are for the front, and the replacement for the back, purchased from Napa, just won't seat themselves. I've even ground them down to that they have a similar taper to the originals in the hopes that will help then attach, but no dice.

they will fit if i'm able to knock them in with a hammer, but doing that with the hub still on is impossible. I'm wondering if it's a big deal to take off the hub, or the disk section with the holes for the wheel studs, so that i can knock em in with a hammer and then put the hub back on. thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Put the lug nut on backwards and add a few lg washers and tighten it up...

I just chuck them up in the lathe and cut them down.. Or Open up the holes in the drum to fit the stud..
Other than that... Press them in... Just make sure you have the rite stud...
