1971 Leaky Challenger

First time post, long time reader - I have a '71 Challenger with a 360 crate engine and am needing to change the oil pan gasket. The oil pan appears to be blocked by the torsion bar, but I was wondering if anyone has dropped an oil pan on a 360 engine without having to remove the torsion bar.

Also, there is a ticking on the right side of the engine. I'm guessing this is a header gasket leak but wanted to ask and advice on what this could be?

Thanks for your help.

Personally, I find it much easier to pull the motor --Might be a hop in the *** for some, but I like to work with things at waist level because of lining up everything for the pan and rear gasket.

Terminology The bar that goes under the oil pan I would call a drag link. Just need to take it loose and the motor mounts loose and raise the motor up Then you can wiggle the pan out .. You may need to rotate the crank for clearance
