340 bore question.

340 bore question.

How far can a 340 block be safely bored? I have an opportunity to pick up a 340 block bored 60 over, but im concerned that if I buy it and it needs bored can you get parts more than 60 over? and is it safe to go more than 60 over?

If it was me, 60 thou is as over bore as I would go, I guess what I am saying is I would pass on that. That's just me though.

Twisted - Do you know if it is all together or is in pieces? Can you still hear it run or has it been pulled? To me, .060 is a lot to bore any motor to. If it runs great or if you can look at the cylinder walls, I'd do that and go from there.

Is there a good price on it? What else comes with it for upgrades?
