Alum vs cast water pump housing

Any preferences for alum vs stock water pump housing for a 440 build. It has an Eddy water pump. It's a mild build for street purposes only and read about the pros of weight reduction, heat dispursion. and the cons of alum pitting and bending...Thanks

I've never heard of a water pump housing bending but pitting yet. I would think that it is more than worth it to install one.

compare the inlet holes from alu. to cast. ive heard probs. w/ the 440 source hsg. the holes are smaller then the cast allowing massive overheating. but, id run the alum. ither from edde. or mopar perf. yes, like gtx said clear coat the pump, then it wont pit.
