has any one used this type of center section from Richmond, where you take out the spider gears from an open to make a posi

That is not a posi, that is what they call a lunch box locker or ratching locker. Yes it replaces the spider and side gears but it does not use any clutch packs. There are teeth that will lock together when going straight. when you turn and have no power being applyied, the teeth are designed to rachet against each other allowing the tires to turn at different speeds.

These have been used if 4x4 vehicles for years as a cheap alternative to full lockers.

What about strength of those gears?

OK So when I put the rubber to the pavement will I have two marks or one wheel, the paper work said that it locks the wheels when going streight

It's a locker, it will leave marks from both tires when doing a burn-out. john
