starting problems

hey guys,
after the gtx not starting twice this month and having it towed home and
comming out in the morning and having it start right up,i have decided
to throw caution to the wind and replace the starter.since i am retired and no longer able to
do this my self and it being expensive labor wise,i was wondering the best starter to go with.
i dont want to go threw it again any time soon.any help appreciated.

Here you go pick your poison.

If you have headers a mini starter might be the best option.
I use a mopar starter for a 90 Dodge Dakota on my 440s it turns my 12.5 cr 500" 440 over just fine.

Funding and labor can always be a challenging deal. Fixed incomes are tough, I know also how this feels for i have been on one for the last 32 years. Anyway's. I would recommend replace the Starter and the Relay and make sure the cables are in good shape as in clean, tight, and well connected. At this point you should be good to go unless you are having a wiring issue.

starting problems

well, problem solved. while i was at my mechanics garage discussing putting in
a new starter ,when i went to leave,it wouldnt start.PERFECT! he checked it out
and found that the resister on the firewall was bad.he had told me to wait on a starter
until it did it again.not a trial an error mechanic.one of the few left.

Ahhhh.. Separate issue from the Starter... Glad he found it. I really hate when you show up at a shop and the car will not acted up. Sounds like you got a good guy working for you...
