1964 273 Fuel Pump Part Issue

Has anyone had to replace the fuel pump on a 273? Mine just went out bought a replacement from O"Reily Auto Parts. Part Number M23082 but what I got was not the pictured Pump. Pulled the old one out the picture on the web site and fuel pump from car match. I got a fuel pump that measures 4 and 7/8 inches long actuator. The car fuel pump measures 4 1/2 inches actuator . The new part also is curved and not straight on the actuator. I would like to know if I can use the new part or do I need to find a fuel pump that the actuator is straight? Measured from base of fuel pump to end of actuator.

Thank You,
Donovan Frasure

I think I would start by heading back to the parts house, with the old part in hand and ask if the part you got was missed boxed? And stat that you needed one that looks like this.. And show them the part.
Just my 2 cents

Just getting ready to do that. I was just wondering if they redesigned it and the new design looks different.

That could be... You just dont want to install it until you know that if that is the case and it doesn't work, you can return it without any greff...
