1977 w200

So long story short the 77 w200 cane with a wore out 318. Decided to yank it and have it stroked to a 390. Now I'm wondering what cam should I pair all this with. I would like to run a 3000 or so stall converter in it. This will be more of a play truck with some cruising. The truck currently has 4.10 gears and an np203 transfer case. Who makes a good converter for a vehicle this heavy?

wooooooo, what a cool truck! i love, love, LOVE that 203 case. I've had two rigs with them and just can't get enough. got any pics?

for the cam, maybe something that might juuust cause a little lope? i.e. something a step or two above the 268 range.

Welcome. I use to pick cams then found similar builds (tons on the internet forums) pick a successful one and copy it to have known results. Yours is a little unique and like me now should contact three cam manufacturers and compare their suggestions. It's easy now as all have forms on their web sites to fill out send off and wait for a response.
