2011 Challenger SRT8 6.4L check engine light

Hello, I have a 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 6.4L that I had installed Borla long tube headers and stainless exhaust no cats last fall. Having issues keeping the check engine light out ever since and it keeps coming up running lean. I have to pass inspection by the end of this month, looking for ideas from anyone that I can do to get this right? I have now been to 2 different race shops and none of them have solved the problem and I am over $3k trying to fix it (not including the parts and original parts cost). Some have told me I have to have the cat and some say I can't put a cat back in because there is not enough room with the long tube headers. Any help you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Put the OEM stuff back on... People will be running into this problem more as time goes by. Illegal mods make the vehicle NON compliant to current smog laws, basically not legal to drive on the street.. It depends on what state you live in...

Well for now your going to have too reinstall the cat's all the way back up to the exhaust manifolds. And reinstall the O2 Sensors. Clear all the codes and drive the car 60 miles before smog day. That should get you passed the smogging issue.....

When you cut the exhaust to install the OEM cat. You can install a Bolted flange. That way you can swap the two systems out...

But your still going to have a compatibility issue when it comes to running the header system, unless you get the O2's and the PCM within range of the defaults. Hope someone will jump in that might have that answer..

Keep us posted... Good luck.
