aftermarket intake manifolds and stock 360
aftermarket intake manifolds and stock 360
Hello
I've been looking at four barrel intake manifold for when I convert my 360 to fitech during its rebuild.
I've noticed some of them are listed for use on the 318, 340 and 360 but, uses the smaller port size used on the 273/318. (based on the recommend gasket set)
I have no doubt it would work, I just don't understand why you would want this if you have the 340 or 360.
Here are the two intake I'm considering so far, what do you think?

np203 fulltime 4x4
4.10:1 axles
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

- I like the look of this one, plus it's already square bore.
- The documentation says to use Felpro gasket 1243 (which is listed for the 273/318)

- List gasket set that can be used with all small block engines (Edelbrock 7276)
- Spread bore may have have to use included adapter plate for Fitech (no big deal i'm sure)

At some piont the 360 started using the same head as the 318. The Eldelbrock I have used on a 77 360 and the port size is a compromise between the 318 and 360. I used it out of the box and it worked but I've heard you can port match the intake to the heads. If you have a stock 360 4v intake use it.
Thanks for the info.
The only intake I currently have is the stock 2 barrel. I figured it would be faster and easier to go aftermarket rather than hunt down a stock intake.
What does a stock 4bbl intake go for anyway? If it's more than half the price of a comparable aftermarket, it wouldn't seem worth it to me but, I don't know.
