Oil Dipstick Length.
Hi all, so work on my '77 B200 continues . . . I've added some more pics.
I have a question for you - I bought a new oil dipstick and tube, as the tube on the van had broken. When I got it and installed the thing, it was obvious the dipstick was way too short!? I thought I had the dipstick that was on it, but can't find it anywhere!? Do any of you knowledgeable folk happen to know the correct length, I can get one made then . . .
Cheers
Timbo.

I had to replace the tube on one of my trucks once. It snapped off in the block... that was fun to get out.
I found out the tube/stick length is different for front and rear sump oil pans
Cars used front sump. Track/Vans used rear sump.
The aftermarket world only seemed to make the one for cars. I reused my stick and cut my tube to length using a plumbing pipe cutter.
Unfortunately, I don't have any numbers. I don't know if trucks and vans were different lengths or not.
Hopefully somebody here help you out or point you in the right direction for a proper replacement.
