cam and compression question

I found pistons I want to get (Probe SRS Forged Pistons 12498-040) and used a compression calculator and came up with 10.02:1. With the 509/292 cam, would this be too much compression for pump gas with 452 heads, or would the duration bleed off enough pressure that I could get away with it? thanks

If you keep the motor cool, have 93 octane available, and back the timing off a bit you may be okay. Bolt up some aluminum heads and you'll be golden

On a hot day (around 95) moving a run at about 190. I dont see very much stop and go except when im in town but I try to stay in bfe as much as i can. 93 octane is about a 1 min drive my house and if I had the money I would already have aluminum heads. Thanks for makin my day just a little better

You need 10/1 for that cam! And a set of 3.91 gears
