Distributor Install Advice

I am getting ready to swap out my points for a pro-billet "ready to run" distributor. Its a stock 1969 LA 318. I think I can handle the install OK as long as everything fits, and thats my question for anyone who has done this.
Is it really ready to run? Just line it up, drop it in, and wire it to the coil? I tried to attach an image to this post, not sure if it will show.
Thanks.

Follow the directions and it will be close enough to work. After the install you should set it with a timing light

The install part I can handle, the new distributor didnt come with any instructions anyway. I was just wondering if anyone else had done this and if they had any trouble with the fit. Thanks

I put a MSD and it fit and ran great. Its a very simple proceedure. Try it then you'll know.
