MSD Distributor Install

I bought a MSD #8387 Pro-Billet (Ready-to-Run) Distributor wanting to replace existing Chrysler Electronic Ignition system and it's original modified distributor.

Installation instructions state that this distributor does not need an MSD ignition module, as the distributor has a built in electronics system and it also does not need the in-line ballast, so if the original wiring includes a ballast, it can be bi-passed.

QUESTION #1
If I no longer need the Chrysler Ignition module, what do I do with all the wiring that goes to it, as two wires that come out of it, were connected to the old distributor?

QUESTION #2
I assume I still need the regulator in the circuit. I'm not sure if taking the old electronic ignition out of the loop will change the regulator's wiring or position within in the circuit?

They are separate circuits. You can wrap it up out of the way or just cut it off and tape it up where it goes into the harness
