Motor swap

I have a 89 1/2 ton 4x4 with a 318. I recently bought a wrecked 98 1/2 ton 2wd with a 360 in it. My question is will the motor bolt up to my 89 tranny and what all do I have to do to the 98 comp and wiring harness to get everything to work. Is there any way to get the factory gauges to work?? Thanks for the help

The 318 and 360 have diff torque converters and flex plates. The engine will bolt up. I would suggest using the 89 wiring but it is possible to use the 98 wiring with a lil homework. When your done with all the wiring done correctly the stock gauges will work.

as you all know i like holleys. an O.E.M. AFB would be easier to get right. holleys are great for making power, using lots of fuel, making you spend tons of time getting them right. of course you do know iam VERY prjudices.

The 89 is a LA motor and the 98 is a magnium the 98 is also multi port fuel injected and the 89 is carburated. Right???

What kind of stroker kit should I look at for the 360?

Yes it is a multi port but I'm worried about having trouble with all the electronics so that's why I wanted to go with 4bbl and HEI.. I can work on it on te sand bar without a diagnostic comp

Most of the intake companies make an intake for that set up...And to install a dist. is no big deal either...MSD, Mallory, even Mopar there all plug and play and easy to wire just follow the instuctions that come with them...
