I know the G means 1971 what about the rest? Not sure if it's a good choice to build thanks for any help

440 is about all I can tell you....
Have the block magnafluxed and the bores checked for thickness, then have the block checked for squareness and decide from there. Best advise I could give you....

Yah, a 440 and not what I was looking for at the time. I don't remember the codes.

But that's 30 years ago!
