new to mopar and V8s, building a 440

hey guys like the title says im new to muscle car engine building and everything about them, im a younger guy would fell in love with my best friends dads cuda, im coming over from the import world ive build a few engines and imports i just sold my 12.3 sec turbo civic hatchback (videos on youtube)and im looking to get into the mopar world, im looking for a 440 block to come for sale on craigslist to build soon, and was wonder whats some tips to looking for a good block ive been reading alittle about them, also im wondering where do i start with when building it im not looking for a ton of power id like to have 400 whp thats reliable i plan i taking my time building over a year or so, when building a motor do you normally start from the bottom up or what, sorry for spelling but any help is greatly appreciated thanks.

In your search DON'T over look the late 400 It makes an excellent stroker motor 500 street able hp easy

With a 1973 Motor Home 440 you will get a forged crank and forged six pack piston rods.
