Oil pan gasket

Hey, Everyone. I just wanted to ask before I open a can of worms. I need to replace my oil pan gasket (68 Fury 318). It looks like there is enough room to unbolt the pan and remove it without having to disassemble the front end or jack the engine up. Anyone know for sure if it is like that? Just wanted to be sure what I was getting into before I start.

You may have to jack the motor up a tad bit.

You will need to disconnect the tie rods and raise the engine up

all so on some engines in the 60 you will have to rotate the crank to get the pan off. i dont like RTV. i use permatex #2 item# 80016. it does NOT slip around like RTV.
