hey everybody I just got a 72 dodge d200 with the 400 in it with a manual trans. was wondering what auto trans I could put in it. did a lot of research and could not find a lot of parts and even after market parts are pretty bare. what other trans will work if any. parts are really hard to come by not many companies make after market parts that I have yet to find. thank you for your help.

 

Easy way.... Find something at a wrecking yard with a 400 Engine, and find one with like a 727 and get the trans and all the linkage. I'm not 100% sure but I think you can use the same crossmember. Then you will just need to get a drive shaft made, if you cant find one out of a truck or van of the same wheel base of the like combo.... Happy Hunting... Keep us posted...
