833 bell housing question
i have a 84 swb 2wd that had a /6 an a np435 i will be swapping in a 318 an a 833 OD I HOPE!! i got a bell housing off a 89/90 w150 4x4 that had a 318 in it an has 2 bolt patterns on it an it will line up with the 833 so i'm guessing i can use that Bell housing?? also can i use the same fly wheel an clutch/pressure plate off the 89/90 truck? i read yes an no so thought i better ask that to.. i don't know dodge trannys so that's why i'm asking.. the 90 truck is a hydraulic clutch set up so no biggie i hope just mount a few bracket's like they were on the 89/90 an i should be good to go there..

If the belhousing has bolts holes to line up with the 833 it is designed for it , the flywheel is the right size for that belll so use that too & being from a 318 it will be properly / neutral balanced & match the 318 you are using . I am not aware of any bolt pattern changes in the crank , you may need to bore a hole in the back of the crank to clear the input shaft of the 833 & use the dakota roller brg for a pilot . Typically I would reuse the clutch unless it seems to be in very good condition & I would resurface the flywheel while it is out too . it should be a 130 tooth flywheel with a 10.5" clutch , you can up grade to the 10.95 clutch using the same flywheel
