A833 out put shaft
Looking for info ! Is the out put shaft on a a833 the same as a 727 or will I need a new yoke ??? Xmas present for my son he is dying for a stick in his dart it is all he can talk about due to letting him beat the snot out of my stick vet ! So yup I snagged a a833 in great shape from a semi local bone yard & bell housing & shifter & fork from eBay. clutch from summit. Oh yea do I need a certain fly wheel for a mid 70's 360 or just a reg 10.5 thanks guy's merry Xmas to all !!!!!

yes the driveshaft slip yolk is the same size & spline .
the 360 is an external balanced engine & has a unique flywheel for that application , I would get a clutch from McLeod & use a 10.95" Borg & Beck / Long pressure plate & disc with a balanced 130 tooth flywheel

Most 727 & 833 trans share the same slip yolk , I do recall seeing an A body 833 with the smaller yolk once though but I could be wrong .
I will have to look in the McLeod catalog... ok that will work but it would not be my first choice , with the 130 tooth flywheel the 10.95" pp bolts right on so why not take advantage of the extra surface area & grip , also I prefer the 3 finger B&B or B&B / Long style pressure plate over the diaphragm type
