I had taken my dart out for a little drive it has 360 and a 904 trans. I had been trying to adjust the kick down and I thought I had set it it right, but I don't think think it's right due to the fact my throttle cable is worn out and my pedal only brings the carb to half throttle when it's fully depressed. But when I took it for a drive everything was fine, shifts just seemed a bit late, but I didn't think it would be a problem.
Maybe ten minutes into my drive I stopped at a friends and when I came back maybe 15 minutes later probably about two quarts of tranny fluid was under my car and a trail of tranny fluid sprayed down the road for 1/4 mile.
I towed the car back to my house and noticed the leak was coming from the front of the tranny from where the puddle on the ground was. I can't seem to find where it's leaking from the tranny is covered in transmission fluid.
I'm not too sure what caused this. My guess is the kickdown was adjusted properly and there was too much line pressure and blew out the Leakey seal or something.
Any input would be nice on common leaking areas or other theories as to how I was able to dump so much tranny fluid so fast. Thanks!

I'm don't have an inspection plate. I took it off because it was bent and scraping the flexplate bolts. But I'll drop the trans and check front seal. I did check the cooling lines already they seemed okay and the only place they could leak from didn't have puddles there.

Check the yoke on the converter for hairline cracks at the notches< i had a trans leak kick mt *** because of it. Replaced 3 front seals before I found the crack, so check the first time you pull the trans, not the third...
