Duster electrical problem

Car was working completely fine until I parked it for about 20 minutes and wouldn't start up. I was able to get it running by jumping the starter relay but I have no power to any of the car ie. lights, radio, turn signals, etc. I've checked all of my fuses and the main fusible link going into the firewall and don't know where to look next. I need help!!

WHAT YEAR MODEL is your car?

As above, but the problem goes deeper. Might be a blown fuse link, or a problems in the bulkhead connector

Start by reading this:

http://www.madelectrical.com/electri...p-gauges.shtml

The above article is a very VERY good overview of main power distribution in these cars, and the problems with them. The diagram down the page simplifies the layout of primary power:

Follow along......From the battery to the big stud on the starter relay. A fuse link goes from there to the bulkhead connector, through it and to the ammeter.

It was the amp gauge! I took a look under the dash and the wires were corroded to the point of falling off, I have it by-passed now and it runs great. Thanks so much I never would have guessed!
