My friend, I'm sorry, I just dont see or cant get my head around were to guide you at this point. Most of what you have done looks correct per say.
I'm a little hesitant to say you might be chasing a relay on the Aux side of the wiring as the problem?
Just an FYI, And this came from a pretty good source of mine. This area M880 came with Civilian wiring and the (Black Out) was added in at the Motor Pool level, so i was told that is why it's so hard to fine and wiring info because some of them where install as it was understood by whom ever performed the install. Just a thought.
Maybe someone might jump in that could shine a little light on the subject?

Thanks for the reply, that makes total sense. However, the wiring does not. 🤪 I hope I can figure this out soon. Doesn't seem like anyone else is too interested in helping, but I appreciate your time.

It's not that nobody is intrested but you have an unusual problem. A military vehicle takes a military mechanic.

What happens if you piggyback the running lights with the headlight wire? Dose everything work then?
