No spark 72 Fury III

Hi there! My guy had a 72 Fury III he had to sell (was a daily driver when we sold it) this year I bought it back. The people who had it, messed with it. The car had some trouble starting when we went to pick it, my guy discovered lose connection to the coil. He tightened it up and the car started. Now we've had it a week and it started once, but since then no spark. New coil, new Ignition Module, looks like a new solenoid recently (not by us) replaced plugs, cleaned up wires from corrosion, checked connection on ballast, checked fuel lines and it still not starting. We just tested for spark...nothing. Engine cranks but wont kick over.
what are we missing?

well, that's a good one to learn trouble shooting. Careful examination of the components will be in order along with a good Volt Ohm Meter. You may have to check the resistance value of the coil compared to specs. or some other values that is why the volt ohm meter is a good tool. Some common problems could be; a bad magnetic pickup in the distributor, a faulty key switch {believe it or not} Bad or broken grounds are another problem and even though you have replaced the ignition module it still could be bad. I'm sure there are some trouble shooting guide. I kow of a good one that was written in mopar action magazine. It is also on the net somewhere. good luck.

Cori... Grab a test light... Check the ignition coil + and see if it has juice with a test light... Check it with the key on and also while you crank it... If thats good.

Then Check the - side of the coil when you crank it and see if the test light goes on and off?
