Engine bay paint recommendations?

I'm going to do a spray bomb on my firewall, inner fender skirts etc. I don't have the time or equipment to pull the engine so I'm going to work around it for now. Was just wondering what would be the best type/brand of spray can paint to use that requires the least amount of prep work.

I would use high temp engine paint. I like the Dupli-color or VHT stuff, but most are pretty good.
However, you might be able to find something close to the body color if you go to an auto body supplier.
Most important thing would be make sure the surface is really clean. They ALL require the same prep, if you want it to last.

Have you used it under the hood where its hot and once its cleaned good do you have to sand or can you use something like wool to rough it up so the paint sticks?

We are going to use black on everything, the engine is being done as well in all black parts with polished metal lettering such as edelbrock on the air cleaner and valve covers. Cuda is being pro modded slowly. We just finished reduing the interior in the same color concept, new headliner, dash cap, painted all the plastics, did some carbon fiber on the metal dash parts, new carpets and b&m shifter.
