We have recently ran into trouble with our old 318 home built chipper (not by us). Need to find a new distributor but cannot locate one anywhere. I'm wondering if anyone here might have any ideas? Here's what it looks like.......appreciate any assistance.
Thank you so much!
Wow... That a off the wall one..... What does the Gear Drive? It looks like it has been added to the Distributor to drive an accessory or something?.... I have not ran into those on any of out FMC or Wayne Style Chippers !!!!

Yes....it's going to be hard to find. The gear drive is for the governor. The whole ignition etc is out of a 1970's 318. 😰
Must have an old Pierce Governor on it?.... I am with FivePoint, I think if you get a 1974 for later 318 with electronic's you can more than likely swap the shaft out and be good to go....
