360 into an A-Body?
I was thinking of putting a 360 into my 1972 plymouth Valiant. Any thoughts/suggestions? Also curious where i can find driveshaft, rear end...ect. Just to be clear I'm just a kid trying to have some fun and I am still learning. Also im going from 225 slant six to the 360 V8

Welcome to the site.... Yes the 360 will fit in..
Pencil in a good list of parts and prices so you can see what fits you budget.
Any driveshaft shop can make you up a shaft with the measurements you give them.
Don't worry.... Guess what? I was a kid at one point also!!!! Fun place to start... Mopar on !!!!

It's a great project, But not cheap.. Need to replace the engine, trans, driveshaft, rear end if it has a 7 1/4, maybe front brakes- if it has drums. Motor mounts and last Maybe the radiator..

1971 Demon
I picked up a 1971 Demon with a 360 automatic. Runs good but at about 1800 to 2200 rpms it has a vibration. I am a retired GM mechanic and the vibration this thing has is like a wrong damper vibration or flywheel.Like the 454 external balance ive read these 360s also have a external balance. So i checked the torque converter and the balancer to make sure they were right for the motor and they are. Any thoughts on what else this might be.The only other thing i could think of is that the motor was possibly gone through and was balanced internally and the wrong balancer and torque converter was put on by accident but who would do that. Any thoughts. It has a high performance 340 cam but other wise is stock. Am not used to these Demons or Dusters they do not have motor mounts that are actually very thin. Just wondering if the problem might lie there thanks

Your on the rite track Stony...
If the rotating assembly is balance rite? Then it ether has the wrong Vibration Dampener. Or it has the wrong weights on the converter and there are 3 Choices for that one..
Welcome to the site.... I also worked for GM for 10 Years, 70's-80's...
Hope your enjoying you retirement? Welcome to Mopars and the Challenge. Once you master MaMopar with your mechanic ability, You will find that "Their are no walls to high that you cant concur".

71 Demon
This is a 1978 360 and have a external balancer on there now but i see they sell the balancer with 3 different weights. You say there are 3 different ones for that motor. Would that be one for a matic, manual, or what else maybe a magnum or are they all the same for the 360s or all all years different thanks RacerHog

The Dampener for 78/360 is a common one.....
The weight for the Converter is more likely the issue...
This is what it looks like.. >>>>

I had a issue at one point with one of my 360 motors I got from an unknown source and had to send the whole rotating assembly to a good balance shop. And had to drum up all 3 weighted converter shells for them to find the write weight settings... Talk about a fun ordeal... Lucky I had the resources near me.
