Call a good cam company (comp cams did mine) tell them what you want out of the car and they can make the best suggestion for you. If you are looking for high rev's and high end HP that is a different cam than low RPM's and short bursts (street) I put a motorhome spec cam in one of my Darts with a small blosk and it pulled like a freightrain out of the hole.

The most important thing is getting all the parts to work together.

yeah a victor 2 might be a bit much. Try a good two plane like an Edelbrock rpm air gap. Try to raise the compression also [pistons]

The 318s are a great, solid motor that can take a lot of abuse and keep asking for more. You could always get the parts you want and when a deal for a 360 pops up, you can swap all the parts over.

A 340 may be a bit much in the $$$ department as they demand a god amount just for themselves in stock condition. but If you have the $$$ and really want it, go for it!

You almost can't go to a good wrecking yard without finding a usable 360. You could probably find one on Craigslist. I got my big blocks from craigslist, including my cracked 400

Hope this helps.
