440 Pulling torque converter to far out

Hello i have a 86 Dodge d150 i have swapped a built 440 with new 727 transmission and 10 torque converter. My problem is when i start the truck it pours trans fluid out from the front seal. i know its not the seal ive replaced it twice but im starting to wonder if when i bolt it to the flexplate if its pulling it to far out of of the transmission and causing it to leak. here is the flex plate im using https://www.summitracing.com/parts/hup-hp1452 has anyone had problems with these plates?

How far do you have to pull the converter out to mate with the flex plate?

That amount sounds ok.....My suggestion is.... Find someone local with a stock torque converter and measure the snout Diameter. I am thinking the new one is cut down to far...

Also... Thats listed as a 11" @ 2500 Stall.... But that is really besides the point...

If you got the old seal out without damaging it... Check that seal on the converter snout and see if it fits sung?
